ZAGREB, Dec 9 (Hina) - Amnesty International Croatia (AIH) will
join a large worldwide campaign marking the 50th anniversary of the
Universal Declaration on Human Rights next year, AIH leaders told a
news conference in Zagreb on Tuesday.
Amnesty International will launch the one-year campaign
simultaneously in more than 80 countries on International Human
Rights Day on December 10.
The aim of the campaign is to raise the awareness of the importance
of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, Ines Bulic of the AIH
Executive Board said.
Bulic announced that each month next year her organisation would
promote individual articles of the Universal Declaration to cover
all articles of the document by the end of next year.
She added that petitions, concerts and exhibitions would also be
organised as part of the campaign.
