PORGES RECEIVES REPS OF EUROPEAN ENTERPRISE ASSOCIATIONS

( Editorial: --> 3655 ) ZAGREB, Nov 25 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges on Tuesday received Dieter Haerthe, secretary general of the European Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and head of the German Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, the economy ministry said in a statement. Haerthe informed Porges about the activities of the two associations. He was satisfied with the fact that the Croatian Employers' Association was a member of the above mentioned European Confederation, which gathers about 300,000 companies from 18 European countries. Porges said the experience of the two associations could be of benefit to Croatia in stimulating small enterprise. The two parties agreed to organize a German-Croatian conference of small and medium-sized enterprise in Berlin and Munich in 1998, with the aim to find business partners in the two countries.
