BRASILIA, Nov 19 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic
held talks in Brasilia on Wednesday with his Brazilian Counterpart,
Luiz Felipe Lampreia about promoting political and economic
relations between the two countries.
The meeting especially focused on preparing an agreement on
cooperation in science and technology in culture, avoiding double
taxation and stimulation of investments.
The two ministers also discussed the succession of agreements
Brazil had signed with the former Yugoslavia.
The signing of these agreements should contribute to the
strengthening of economic relations between Croatia and Brazil. In
that context, we spoke about the possibility of using the Croatian
port of Rijeka for the transport of Brazilian products into central
European countries, Granic said.
The Brazilian side had showed great interest for the situation in
Croatia's political, economic and security scenes, Granic said.
Lampreia hailed the political and economic stability of Croatia, as
well as the successful process of peaceful reintegration of the
Croatian Danube river region.
