VUKOVAR, Nov 14 (Hina) - The Joint Council of Serb-dominated
municipalities in the UN-administered Danube region of eastern
Croatia decided on Friday that it and the Serb Independent
Democratic Party would make a report on the results so far achieved
in the process of peaceful reintegration of the region into
Croatia.
The Council said it would send the report to international
organisations to take it into account when deciding on the
termination of the UNTAES mandate.
The Council also condemned an anti-Serb leaflet that had appeared
in Vukovar on Thursday night.
The Council called on Serb members of the Transitional Police Force
to stay on the force despite the planned introduction of Croatian
police uniforms.
The Council demanded that Serbs owning apartments outside the
Danube region be granted on the basis of those rights apartments in
Vukovar which are not claimed by their prewar tenants.
