CHINESE DELEGATION VISITS ISTRIA ( Editorial: --> 0508 )

( Editorial: --> 0508 ) POREC, Nov 13 (Hina) - A delegation of the committee for interior affairs and justice of the All-Chinese Congress of People's Representatives on Thursday visited Porec, on the Istrian peninsula, where they held talks with representatives of the Istria County and the town of Porec. The Chinese delegation, on a several day visit to Croatia, was received by Istria County Prefect Stevo Zufic, the head of the Istria County Assembly, Damir Kajin, and Porec Mayor Rodoljub Kosic and associates. Prefect Zufic informed the guests about the state and local organization of Croatia, spoke about the organization and significance of local government and self government on the example of the Istria County and its towns and municipalities, as well as about the County's economic development. The Chinese delegation later visited the town of Pula, in the south of the Istrian peninsula, where they were received by Mayor Giancarlo Zupic.
