ZAGREB, Oct 30 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa on Thursday
received the "American Express Company" president and executive
director, Harvey Golub, the vice-president of the company, Jim
Tobin, and the director-general of the Croatian travel agency
"Atlas", Pava Zupan-Ruskovic, the government's communications
office said in a statement.
This year, "American Express Company" and "Atlas" celebrate the
30th anniversary of the beginning of their cooperation in tourism
and the 25th anniversary since they started cooperating in business
with credit cards.
The cooperation did not cease during the war in Croatia, and the
U.S. company's president and vice-president expressed
satisfaction with the commercial operations and the number of
owners of the American Express cards in Croatia.
The guests were interested in the current economic situation in
Croatia, its banking, continuation of the privatisation process
and opportunities for expanding the commercial operations of
"American Express" in Croatia, the statement said.
