ZAGREB/ROME, Oct 22 (Hina) - As of 3 November Croats will be able to
enter Italy and Italians Croatia without passports, a
representative of the Croatian Embassy in Rome said on Wednesday,
adding only identification cards will be required to cross the
border.
"Croatia and Italy will on 3 November in Zagreb exchange diplomatic
notes on the cancellation of travel documents, under which
residents of the two countries will be able to travel to both
countries only with IDs", a minister at the Croatian Embassy in
Rome, Duska Paravic, told Hina on Wednesday.
The Italian Foreign Ministry in Zagreb confirmed this statement on
Wednesday as well.
By being able to enter Italy without passports, Croatian residents
will have easier access to Schengen Agreement countries.
