ZAGREB, Oct 16 (Hina) - After one of its wings fell down, a training
plane crashed on Zagreb's suburbs on Thursday afternoon. The trainee
pilot and an instructor ejected safely.
The wing came off from the "ZLIN 142"-type plane at 03.07 pm
Thursday while it was flying over Malesnica, a north-western suburb
of Zagreb.
The trainee pilot and the instructor ejected and landed by
parachute near a church in the neighbouring residential area of
Stenjevac.
According to first reports, parts of the plane caused no
injuries.
The plane disintegrated in the air, and its separate pieces,
the wings and the fuselage were found at three different spots in
two residential areas.
The plane, owned by Osijek's aviation club, had took off from
the Lucko airport near Zagreb.
