LUXEMBOURG, Oct 6 (Hina) - All other signatories to the Dayton Peace
Agreements on Bosnia-Herzegovina must follow the example of Bosnian
Croats indicted for war crimes who today surrendered voluntarily to
the war crimes tribunal in The Hague, the host of a two-day
conference of the Council of Ministers of the European Union,
Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jacques Poos, told reporters on Monday.
Poos assessed this was an important step in the peace process.
Speaking about the Council's standpoints, Poos said the
European Commission has the duty to step up the distribution of
means at the EU's disposal for reconstruction and development
projects in states on former Yugoslavia territory.
The Council unanimously supported the already known
conclusion, today reiterated by EU commissioner for international
relations Hans van der Broek, that only those parties actively
partaking in the peace process can count on the EU's assistance.
