ZAGREB, Sept 29 (Hina) - On the occasion of Police Day and St.
Michael's Day, Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Monday handed
over a new building of the Interior Ministry (Ilica Street 335)
to be used by the criminal police and other ministry departments.
President Tudjman reiterated his request to the Croatian
police to be consistent and efficient in fighting all forms of
crime and illegal activities. "That must be your permanent task",
Tudjman said, calling on the police force to follow in the wake
of recent successes in fighting crime.
Also in attendance at today's event were high officials of
the Croatian legislative, executive and judiciary power,
representatives of the Interior Ministry, the Croatian Army, the
City of Zagreb, and other state officials.
