ZAGREB, Sept 12 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Friday
received the newly-appointed Romanian Ambassador to Croatia, Constantin
Ghirda, who presented his credentials.
Ghirda said that Croatia and Romania, as Central European countries
bordering the Balkans, were factors of peace and stability in this part of
Europe and that they were both set to enter Euro-Atlantic institutions.
The Romanian ambassador said that the relations between the two
countries were good but that still not all possibilities of cooperation had +
been
used, particularly in the economic field.
Tudjman said that Croatia highly appreciated Romania's position
since the establishment of Croatia as an independent state. He said that the
two countries could contribute to the establishment of a new international
