SARAJEVO/BANJA LUKA, Sept 9 (Hina) - Police forces supporting the president of Republika Srpska, Biljana Plavsic, blocked the "Bosna" hotel in Banja Luka on Tuesday morning. Highest officials of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS) and a
part of participants of the party's meeting which took place on Monday evening were staying at the hotel.

president of Republika Srpska, Biljana Plavsic, blocked the "Bosna"
hotel in Banja Luka on Tuesday morning. Highest officials of the
Serb Democratic Party (SDS) and a part of participants of the
party's meeting which took place on Monday evening were staying at

Radio broadcasting from Pale said that member of the Bosnian
Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, president of the dissolved
parliament, Dragan Kalinic, Pale government premier Gojko Klickovic
and former Interior Minister Dragan Kijac were in the hotel.
The radio said SDS leaders' cars had either been smashed or
taken away, while the police was controlling the accesses into the
hotel.
The Sarajevo-based agency SAFAX said on Tuesday morning that
telephone connections with the hotel had been severed at about 10.00
hours, an hour after which electricity had been cut off.
Deputy High Representative for the implementation of the peace
agreement in Bosnia, Jacques Klein, arrived in Banja Luka on Monday
night, and visited the Bosna hotel on Tuesday morning, the Radio
said, adding that he had not stated what his mission was.
According to independent sources, between 150 and 500
supporters of the SDS gathered in Banja Luka on Monday night. They
had managed to enter the town, while most of the people had been
halted at checkpoints which SFOR had set up on roads towards the
town.
