ZAGREB, Sept 8 (Hina) - A rapid and significant growth in the industrial
production is expected in Croatia this autumn according to the steady
upward movement of the CROLEI index, the Croatian finance ministry has
said.
CROLEI index shows the trend of global economic activities and
industrial production.
This complex index, made together by the finance ministry and the
faculty of economy in Zagreb, shows the trend of indicators important for a
short-term forecast of developments in economic activities in Croatia. It
consists of an index of industrial raw material stocks, the number of people
on the dole, the number of hours of work in the construction industry, the
total value of contracted construction works in the country, retail sales and
wholesale trade, the raw materials import, material outlays of public
services, incomes of citizens from selling and services and the M1 money
supply.
