SOME 200,000 TOURISTS ENTER CROATIA IN ISTRIA OVER WEEKEND

PULA, Aug 18 (Hina) - Between Thursday and Sunday last week, 204,492 entries into and 238,914 exits out of the northern Adriatic peninsula of Istria were registered at three border crossings in the Istria County - Plovanija, Kastel and Pozan, the County's police told reporters on Monday. The largest number of entries (more than 70,000 tourists) was registered on the Assumption (Friday). There were no tailbacks at the crossings, the police said, since sufficient staff ensured only short waiting, the police said.
