MOSTAR, Aug 13 (Hina) - The first electrolytic cell began to work in Mostar's
aluminium plant on Wednesday after a five-year break due to war. As of
today the factory again produces aluminium.
The factory's director general, Mijo Brajkovic, said that first tonnes of
liquid aluminium would be produced in the plant in the following ten days.
According to Brajkovic, electric power has been supplied for such 64
cells that will be put into operation in the coming days.
He said that Spanish experts helped the factory's workers to put into
operation electrolytic cells, and thanked the Spanish government for
financial assistance it provided for to the factory.
He announced a meeting with representatives of the German
"Daimler Benz" company and the Croatian light metals factory of Sibenik for
August 21 when they should agree on the joint sale of products of Mostar's
