TRAVNIK, Aug 11 (Hina) - The process of establishing a joint
Croat-Moslem police force in the Central Bosnia canton is running
without difficulty in full compliance with an agreement signed by
the head and deputy head of the canton in Sarajevo on August 5,
deputy cantonal interior minister Fabijan Trbara said on Monday.
"We are working very hard and very professionally to meet
the set deadlines and to do the job for the benefit of the whole
canton," Trbara said.
He said that the cantonal ministry would begin operating
from its seat in Travnik on August 18 and that the canton would
have a 1,059-strong professional police force by August 30.
Trbara said that the ministry was currently dealing with
problems such as internal organisation. He added that identical
uniforms had already been prepared for Croat and Moslem police
officers.
