MOSTAR, July 23 (Hina) - Spanish Defence Minister Eduardo Serra visited
Mostar on Wednesday, the Bosnian Croat news agency, Habena, reported.
Minister Serra said at a news conference in Mostar that the purpose
of his tour was to visit a Spanish military contingent in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, that was serving with the NATO-lead peace force SFOR.
The Spanish have been in Bosnia for five year. According to Serra,
this means great efforts for Spain, but his country is happy to be able
to help establish a stable and permanent peace in Bosnia.
He told the conference that he was satisfied with what he had seen
during his short visit in Mostar. But, the Spanish minister was sorry
that he could not hold talks with local authorities due to his brief
stay in town.
