ZAGREB, July 10 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic received
Indonesian Research and Technology Minister Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibi in
Zagreb on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Granic informed his guest about the course of the successful
completion of the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube region,
thanking an Indonesian medical team for their professional and efficient
participation in the UN peacekeeping force in the region.
Speaking of the situation in this part of Europe, Granic put an
emphasis on the peace process in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatian foreign
policy priorities, including the development of good neighbourly
relations with neighbouring countries and participation in the work of
Central European and Euro-Atlantic institutions.
The two ministers said that political and economic relations
between Croatia and Indonesia were developing very well, adding that
preparations were under way for signing two very important bilateral
agreements - on double taxation avoidance and investment promotion and
protection.
The Indonesian delegation showed a great interest in investment in
the Croatian economy, whose macroeconomic indicators, according to
Habibi, are among the best of European countries in transition.
The Croatian side was interested in the possibility of launching
Croatian products on the Indonesian market and in joint ventures, the
statement concluded.
