ZAGREB, July 8 (Hina) - The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting
Countries (OPEC) has granted a US$10 million loan to the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina to help finance equipment for, and the reconstruction
of, secondary and technical schools, the News Service of the UN
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) said in a
statement on Tuesday.
Besides, UNESCO and Saudi Arabia have signed a US$1 million accord
for educational and cultural projects in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
UNESCO, in cooperation with the government of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
has participated in preparing the projects earmarked for the OPEC loan
and will follow their implementation.
