HELSINKI, June 23 (Hina) - Croatia and Germany are expected to sign an
agreement on road and air traffic in autumn, Croatian Transport Minister
Zeljko Luzavec has said.
Minister Luzavec met his German Counterpart Matthias Wissmann, at
the third pan-European traffic conference that commenced in Helsinki on
Monday.
Luzavec invited Wissmann to visit Croatia when treaties on the road
and air traffic can be signed.
He thanked the Wissmann for the support Germany offered in the
inclusion of Croatia into European traffic network, at the Berlin
conference of European transport ministers held in April this year. The
German support is based both on the friendly ties between the two
countries and on Germany's interest in opening a corridor from Salzburg
via Zagreb and Belgrade to Salonika so that the country may be linked
with the south-eastern Europe and further with the Near East.
