VINKOVCI, June 26 (Hina) - The UNICEF office for Croatia and town
authorities of Vinkovci, on Thursday held a round-table discussion
called "Promotion of Children's Rights by Media".
Experts, Croatian journalists as well as correspondents of the
media from the UNTAES-controlled Croatian area, participated in the
discussion held in this eastern Croatian town. This event was part of
cooperation between the UNICEF and Croatian towns that used to be at the
confrontation line.
"The aim of the round-table discussion is to make journalists be
more sensitive to problems in the relations of media toward children," a
UNICEF worker in Croatia, Majda Tafra, said.
The UNICEF along with Vinkovci authorities will organise yet
another two round-table conferences on this topic.
