MOSTAR, June 12 (Hina) - The first of Mostar's six municipal councils
held a constituent session on Thursday.
The session of the South-West Municipal Council was attended by 25
councillors, 13 of the HDZ party, eight of the SDA-LBO coalition and
four independent representatives.
HDZ councillor Stipe Maric was elected head of the municipality and
Mustafa Skoro of the SDA-LBO coalition as his deputy.
Dragan Covic was elected city council president and his deputy
would be Mustafa Delic.
Commenting on the foundation of the council, Mostar mayor Ivan
Prskalo said that "the Croat side showed its full compliance with the
Dayton peace agreement."
