TUZLA, March 29 (Hina) - Jose Ramos Horta, last year's winner of the Nobel
Prize for Peace and a member of the National Council of Mauber Province in
East Timor, is in the northeastern Bosnian town of Tuzla this weekend.
On Saturday, Horta opened a two-day course for representatives of
international human rights associations organized by the Organization for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Office for Human Rights.
In his opening remarks, Horta pointed out a historical similarity
between the way of exercising human rights in East Timor and Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
During his stay in Tuzla, Horta is expected to meet municipal and
cantonal officials.
