"TOSCA" TO BE PERFORMED AT SARAJEVAN NATIONAL THEATRE

SARAJEVO, Feb 25 (Hina) - With considerable help from Croatian music artistes, Giaccomo Puccini's "Tosca" is to be performed at the Sarajevan National Theatre on Tuesday evening, as part of the "Sarajevo Winter" festival, musical director Krunoslav Cigoj told a press conference on Tuesday. Considering the situation in Sarajevo, I thought it would be too ambitious a project, Cigoj said, but added that the effort put in setting up the performance guaranteed a big success. National Theatre manager Muhamed Karamehmedovic described the project as an attempt to return the opera back to its former glory, since during the war the theatre's opera actors did not perform.
