SPLIT, 18 Feb (Hina) - The Croatian Premier and Vice Premier Zlatko
Matesa and Borislav Skegro respectively and the Governor of the
Croatian National Bank (NBH), Marko Skreb, on Tuesday attended a
session of Splitska Banka. After the session, they held a press
conference at which it was made public that the financial
rehabilitation of the bank is completed.
Premier Matesa expressed satisfaction with the successful
recovery of Splitska Banka. Splitska banka is one of the leading
Croatian banks, he said, adding that the bank has regained the
trust of its clients - economy and citizens.
The sole owner of Splitska banka is not the state, as some
tend to say, nor will it be its sole owner, Matesa said, adding
that there will be more loans and money in that part of Croatia.
The bank's basic capital amounts to 320 million kuna (US
$58,18 million). The bank is being restructured and the first phase
of its privatisation is under way, Matesa said.
