The Croatian Embassy in Teheran received a message on Sunday
from the "Alkaid" trailer ship of the Split-based shipping company
"Brodospas" who was on its way from India towards Abu Dhabi (United
Arab Emirates). The message said that the Croatian crew had rescued
two fishermen from their boat on Saturday night, while the third
one had drowned.
The rescue was done in stormy weather, with waves reaching
heights of seven metres and the wind reached speeds of over 45
knots.
The fishermen are well and will remain aboard the Croatian
ship until it reaches the first port.
