Weapons would continue to be bought in UNTAES military
facilities in Klisa, Beli Manastir, Topolik and Grabovo from
Monday and the trade would be carried out from 8.00 hours to
16.00 hours, the statement said.
Since 2 October 1996, when the programme of buying
weapons had begun, over 1,300 guns, 6,200 hand grenades and
229,000 pieces of ammunition had been bought off. At the same
time, over 35 tons of ammunition and mines had been destroyed,
the statement said.
