ZAGREB, Jan 14 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on Monday received the incoming Norwegian Ambassador to Zagreb, Knut Morkved, who presented copies of his credentials from the Norwegian King Harald.

on Monday received the incoming Norwegian Ambassador to
Zagreb, Knut Morkved, who presented copies of his credentials
from the Norwegian King Harald. #L#
Ambassador Morkved is the first Zagreb-based Norwegian
Ambassador to Croatia.
A statement from the Croatian Foreign Ministry said that
Granic had informed Morkved about the successful process of
reintegration of eastern Slavonia, Baranja and western Srijem,
as well as about an agreement between Croatian President
Franjo Tudjman and Transitional Administrator Jacques Klein.
Granic also informed Morkved about the developments in
the wider region, especially about the successful development
of the peace process in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He reiterated that
Croatia fully supported the implementation of the Washington
and Dayton agreements.
Morkved stressed that he was satisfied with the
development of the situation in the Croatian Danube river
region, and expressed hope in a successful completion of
UNTAES's mandate under the agreement between President Tudjman
and General Klein.
Granic and Morkved expressed mutual satisfaction about
the development of relations between Norway and Croatia, and
stressed the need of further cooperation, political and
economic.
