ZAGREB, Jan 20 (Hina) - An airplane of the 'British Airways'
company landed on the Zagreb airport of Pleso on Monday for the
first time after fifteen years.
The plane with some 30 passengers aboard was welcomed by
Croatian Economy Minister Davor Stern, British Ambassador to
Croatia, Gavin Hewitt, and the Pleso airport general director,
Tomislav Leko.
The Boeing 737 - 200 of the British Airways will fly from
London to Zagreb and back every day except for Saturday.
Ambassador Hewitt expressed assurance that the successful
service of the British company would help promote business,
tourism, cultural and other ties between Britain and Croatia.
The biggest British air carrier announced more flights for the
summer season.
