'CROATIAN THOUGHT' MAGAZINE PUBLISHED AFTER 53 YEARS

Autor: ;JN;
SARAJEVO, Jan 21 (Hina) - The 'Matica hrvatska' cultural society on Tuesday promoted the first issue of its magazine 'Croatian Thought" a quarterly journal about science and arts. Its publishing has been resumed after a 53-year-long break. The promotion ceremony was attended by Bosnia-Herzegovina's Roman Catholic Cardinal, Msgr. Vinko Puljic, and Croatia's Ambassador in Sarajevo, Darinko Bago. 'Croatian Thought' would like to prove the worth of artistic and scientifically-grounded thoughts of contemporary Croatian writers, artists and scholars. The journal will also promote the heritage as defence against quasi-qualities the dangerous effect of which is very well seen in Bosnia-Herzegovina, said the chief editor of the magazine, Mirko Marjanovic. The re-publishing of 'Croatian Thought' has been supported financially by the Zagreb-based 'Matica Hrvatska' chief committee. The 165-page first issue of the magazine publishes works 21 authors. A special feature also deals with the position of Croats in the Bosnian capital. (hina) jn mš 211752 MET jan 97
