implementing the Dayton peace agreement, Robert Gelbard, will
arrive to Zagreb on Wednesday evening for a two-day official visit
to Croatia.
Gelbard will hold talks with Croatian officials on the
implementation of the peace agreement in Bosnia-Herzegovina and
other issues, the U.S. Embassy in Croatia reported on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, the U.S. diplomat will meet Foreign Minister Mate
Granic, and on Thursday President Franjo Tudjman, the Croatian
President's Office reported.
Gelbard will also meet Defence Minister Pavao Miljavac.
According to the U.S. Embassy, Gelbard is to meet other Croatian
officials as well.
The special envoy is arriving in Croatia after his talks in Sarajevo
on Tuesday with members of the Bosnia's collective presidency on
the establishment of a modern economic system.
He will participate in the Peace Implementation Conference to be
held in Madrid on December 15 and 16. One of the conference's main
topics will be the economic reform in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
