House of Representatives on Thursday held its constituent session
following a general election in September.
The representatives were sworn in and their mandates were
verified.
Thirty-nine out of 42 representatives attended the constituent
session, alongside members of BH's collective Presidency and
Council of Ministers. The high international representative for BH
was also present.
A leadership was not elected as none of the proposed candidates from
governing and opposition parties had won the necessary number of
votes.
The Lower House will convene again next week to elect a president
and his deputies.
The strongest party in the BH Lower House is the Coalition for
Integral and Democratic BH, with 17 mandates. However, it still
lacks the necessary majority necessary for the reaching of
decisions.
The Croatian Democratic Union of BH has six representatives in the
Lower House, the Social Democratic Party, the Serb Democratic
Party, and the "Sloga" Coalition have four each. The other parties
have one or two representatives each.
