ROME, Oct 17 (Hina) - Two Croatians were awarded for their roles in
the promotion of Croatian science and literature in Rome on
Saturday.
On behalf of President Franjo Tudjman, Croatian Ambassador in Rome,
Davorin Rudolf, presented Stjepan Krasic, a university professor,
and director Josip Dujela medals at the embassy.
Croatia cares for its people abroad, Rudolf said.
Krasic received a medal for his extraordinary research of the
history of Croats at the "Gregorijana" university, and Dujela
received a medal for his films which contributed to the world
getting to know the Croatian cultural heritage better.
Present t the ceremony were Croatian state and Church officials in
Rome, the ambassadors of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Croatian
Ambassador at the Holy See, Marijan Sunjic.
