ZAGREB, 13 Oct (Hina)- Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo Sanader had a
number of bilateral meetings during his visit to Antalya, Turkey,
during a conference of heads of states and Prime Ministers of the of
south-east European countries.
At the conference, which closes on Tuesday, Croatia participates as
an observer.
Sanader discussed bilateral relations and the situation in the
region with Theodoros Pangalis, Paskal Milo and Blagoje Handziski,
FMs of Greece, Albania and Macedonia respectively.
Croatian Deputy Minister also met with his host, the Turkish FM
Ismail Cema. The two men expressed satisfaction with bilateral
relations and emphasised readiness for their strengthening.
Sanader and Cema called for implementation of the Washington
agreement and the Dayton Accords, as prerequisites for a truce in
BH, which has been brought into effect thanks largely to joint
efforts of Croatia and Turkey.
Turkish FM said that Turkey was ready to support Croatia's bid for
membership in the Partnership for Peace initiative. He also
stressed Croatia's role as a central European and Mediterranean
country for stabilisation of the political situation in the
neighbouring SE Europe, a statement says.
