ZAGREB, Oct 13 (Hina) - The commander of the Croatian Air Force and
Anti-Aircraft Defence (HRZ i PZO), Major General Josip Culetic
received a delegation of the Bulgarian Air Force and Anti-Aircraft
Defence, headed by Major General Kalco Tanev, in Zagreb on
Tuesday.
The two delegations agreed that, as two countries in transition
which are reorganising their armed forces, Croatia and Bulgaria are
willing to exchange their experiences and strengthen their
cooperation.
The Bulgarian delegation arrived in Croatia for a return visit
following a visit of a Croatian military delegation to Bulgaria in
May this year.
"The purpose if our visit is to get acquainted with Croatia and its
air forces", said Tanev adding he and his associates would also
visit an HRZ academy for pilots in Zadar.
Both Bulgaria and Croatia are in transition and are encountering
similar problems in the reorganisation of their armed forces.
Bulgaria has a certain advantage because it has already become a
member of the Partnership for Peace, Culetic said.
Croatia will certainly benefit from Bulgarian experiences which
Bulgaria is willing to share with us, he added.
