ZAGREB, Sept 29 (Hina) - The Zagreb Archdiocese committee in charge
of preparations for Pope John Paul II's second visit to Croatia on
Tuesday published the Liturgical Guide booklet which contains a
detailed account of the Pope's visit to Zagreb, Marija Bistrica,
Split and Solin between October 2 and 4.
Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic says in the introduction that the
booklet in the first place wishes to assist in prayer during the
meeting with the Holy Father.
Alongside a brief biography of the late Croatian cardinal Alojzije
Stepinac, whom the Pope will beatify in the Marija Bistrica
sanctuary on October 3, Liturgical Guide also explains how Stepinac
deserved to be so venerated by the people and beatified by the
Pope.
The booklet also carries a detailed story on Marija Bistrica, the
most renowned sanctuary in Croatia, a liturgy of beatification and
canonisation, and traces of holiness among the Croatian people.
Liturgical Guide finally presents the Pope's meeting with the young
in front of the Zagreb Cathedral and the prayer at Stepinac's
grave.
