PRISTINA, Aug 28 (Hina) - Three members of an Albanian family were
killed and other two were wounded during last night's shelling of
the Kosovo village of Ladroviqe near Malisevo, a Kosovo Albanian
source said Friday.
Two elderly persons and a child died near Malisevo last night due to
dire humanitarian conditions, the Kosovo Information Centre (KIC)
said.
It is suspected that a Serbian attack on the village of Senike near
Malisevo caused new victims.
Serbian forces have abducted ten Albanians from the village of
Ngucate near Malisevo, KIC reported.
Albanian houses in Banje, another village in the Malisevo
municipality, have been set on fire.
Tens of thousands of Albanians have fled eight villages in the
municipality in the last three days.
Almost 100,000 civilians are living in the open in the area between
Malisevo, Suva Reka and Orahovac, facing dire conditions - lack of
food, medicines and clothing, KIC said.
The same source reported that Serbian forces killed two members of
the Kosovo Liberation Army in Suva Reka while the police ordered a
forced burial of an unidentified victim in the village.
Kosovo Democratic Alliance sources from Suva Reka have reported
that Serbian forces today continued setting fire to Albanian houses
in 13 villages which had been shelled previously.
Serbian forces have completely blocked all roads to Suva Reka, the
same source said.
