VUKOVAR, Aug 18 (Hina) - A Japanese quail egg auction began in
Vukovar Monday night and will continue until August 31.
The eggs are said to have healing properties. They have been shod
with horse-shoe shaped pieces of aggressor grenades that fell on
Vukovar.
The proceeds of the auction are to go to the fund of the Society for
the Help for Mentally Disabled Persons in Vukovar.
According to the Society's president, Ivica Azenic, the Society
numbered 200 members before the war. They have been exiled to
different parts of Croatia and other countries of the former
Yugoslavia.
"The Society has recently been re-registered and is attempting to
gather its members. Any help is welcome," Azenic said.
