DUBROVNIK, Aug 12 (Hina) - A fire fighting plane has crashed into
the Adriatic Sea only 4km from Dubrovnik's Cilipi airport, after
running out of fuel on its way back from a water bombing mission.
The AT-802 Air-Traktor plane, with its registration as N-97-ZL, was
forced to land in the sea at 5.05pm on Wednesday, at a position north
of Point Ratac on the island of Kolocep, the Croatian Government's
Crisis Committee said.
Although the plane sunk, its pilot was only lightly injured, the
statement said.
