BRIJUNI, 10 Aug (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Monday sent a letter to the US President Bill Clinton expressing
deep sympathies over the recent terrorist attacks on the US
embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.
On my own behalf and on the behalf of the Croatian Government and
people, I express my deepest sympathies over the terrorist attacks
on the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania which caused great
human losses and suffering among American officials and citizens.
Please convey my deepest sympathies to the families of the killed.
Croatia has always most strongly condemned international terrorism
and it condemns this mindless attack and expects its organisers and
perpetrators to be harshly punished.
President Tudjman also sent his sympathies to Tanzania's President
Benjamin Mkapa and Kenya's President Daniel Arap Moi.
