SARAJEVO, Aug 7 (Hina) - The Independent Media Commission (IMC) on
Friday appointed the members of its Commission's Council and
Implementation Committee.
Both IMC bodies have seven members each, including four citizens of
Bosnia-Herzegovina and three international representatives. They
have been appointed for a period of three years.
The IMC Council is responsible for establishing the IMC policy,
whereas the Implementation Committee will discuss and decide in
instances of serious breaches of the code and permits.
IMC head Krister Thelin said the IMC had managed to ensure
outstanding members for both bodies which, he said, was a guarantee
for IMC's aim to ensure free, fair and impartial media in Bosnia.
