SPLIT, July 31 (Hina) - America's Military Ordinary, Monsignor
Edwin O'Brien, and the United States military vicar-general for
Europe Joseph Supa on Friday visited the Split-Dalmatia County,
following earlier visits to Zagreb and the eastern city of
Vukovar.
The leading Roman Catholic chaplains for American soldiers were
received in Split by deputy county prefect Ante Nosic and other city
and county officials.
Accompanied by Croatia's Military Ordinary, Monsignor Juraj
Jezerinac, and vicar-general Josip Santic, the American guests
were also received by Split-Makarska Archbishop, Monsignor Ante
Juric.
Following a tour of cultural and historical sites in the southern
city of Split, the guests and their hosts visited the islands of
Brac, Hvar and Korcula.
