TRAVNIK, July 28 (Hina) - The Central Bosnian Canton branches of the
Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) and the
(Bosniak) Social Democratic Action (SDA) on Monday reached an
agreement on the reorganisation of Travnik.
Travnik, as the centre of this joint canton is to be organised as a
city union of municipalities, according to the same principles as
Mostar, the centre of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, they
agreed.
In these two counties, Bosniaks and Croats share authority
according to the parity principle.
Conclusions of the meeting were that HDZ BiH and SDA benches are to
present the harmonised text on the reorganisation to the Canton
Assembly at a session scheduled for Wednesday.
The agreement on the reorganisation of Travnik arrived a week after
the deputy to the International High Representative in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Hanns Schumacher, visited the town.
The Bosniak side until now refused any talks on the subject.
