BUDAPEST, July 7 (Hina) - Croatian World Congress (HSK) president
Simun Sito Coric on Tuesday officially opened the Croatian
Information Centre (HIC) in Hungary.
This information centre, through the Internet, will be linked to
the Croatian Homeland Foundation and other institutions in Croatia
which are entrusted with distributing information to Croats
abroad.
Opening the centre in Budapest, Coric said Croats in the diaspora
could greatly assist in the promotion of Croatian tourism and the
economy as a whole, in the same way they unselfishly helped in the
establishment of the Croatian state.
President of the Croatian minority self-government authority, Mijo
Karagic, talked about the specific nature of Croats in Hungary and
other neighbouring countries, where they were an autochtonous
community with a right to vote and not migrants.
Coric also visited the Croatian Business Centre in Budapest and
talked about tourism with its director Antun Vidic.
It was also announced a Croatian club would be opened in the
Hungarian capital.
