ZAGREB, July 6 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Justice Minister Snjezana
Bagic held talks with the Director of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre in
Jerusalem, Efraim Zuroff, in Zagreb on Monday.
The talks focused on the preliminary investigation proceedings
against Dinko Sakic, commander of the Jasenovac concentration camp
during World War II.
The proceedings are being conducted at the Zagreb County Court.
Zuroff handed to Bagic documents which he believes can be useful in
the investigation proceedings.
After the talks, Bagic told Hina that Zuroff was informed "about
Croatia's intention for the proceedings to be conducted as
objectively and professionally as possible".
She also said that Zuroff was informed in detail about the course of
proceedings and legal procedure.
Bagic said the documentation she received from Zuroff "includes
several documents with statements and names of persons who can
testify about the facts concerning the concentration camps in
Jasenovac and Stara Gradiska," Bagic said adding the persons in
question live in Yugoslavia or the United States.
Zuroff has also handed a document concerning Nada Sakic, Bagic
added.
The Justice Ministry will deliver these documents to the judicial
bodies for further procedure, she added.
