ECONOMY MINISTER MEETS BRITISH TRADE AND INDUSTRY SECRETARY

( Editorial: --> 1390 ) LONDON, June 15 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges Monday discussed bilateral economic relations with the British Secretary of Trade and Industry Margaret Beckett. Porges is on a two-day working visit to Great Britain. The Croatian government is interested in reaching an agreement on avoiding double taxation with Great Britain, Porges said. Both parties assessed a future British-Croatian chamber of commerce will advance the commodity exchange between the two countries. Beckett said the chamber will be supported by the British Trade and Industry Ministry. Croatia's Porges thanked Beckett for London's contribution to Croatia's negotiations with the World Trade Organisation. (hina) ha 151926 MET jun 98
