US GOVT CONDEMNS ATTACK ON POLICE OFFICERS NEAR TRAVNIK

( Editorial: --> 1276 ) SARAJEVO, June 15 (Hina) - The United States government strongly condemns the attack on two police officers near Travnik, central Bosnia, which occurred on 12 June, said a statement from the US Embassy in Sarajevo on Monday. In that attack Croatian police officer Prica Bilic was killed and his Bosniak colleague Almir Mehic was seriously wounded. As soon as they entered Bilic's car, a bomb which was placed under the car exploded. The US government praises the speedy investigation which the local authorities and International Police Task Force (IPTF) commenced following the attack and at the same time calls for the perpetrators to be found and brought to justice quickly. A similar attack will not slow down the process of reintegration and police force restructure in Travnik or any other place in Bosnia- Herzegovina, said the statement.
