KONJSCINA, June 10 (Hina) - Croatian Immigration Minister Marijan
Petrovic Wednesday visited Armko, a factory in the town of
Konjscina, whose majority owner is a Croat entrepreneur from
Germany.
"After visiting several factories in southern Croatia, which were
built by our returnees, today we have come to see the factory of
armature nets Armko," Minister Petrovic told reporters.
He asserted Armko was one of the best examples of investment on the
part of Croatian immigrants.
It is very important that this is a case of investing in production,
Petrovic added.
It is especially important for Croatia that Armko is an exporter,
mainly to Austria and Slovenia, the Minister said.
Two years ago Armko's majority owner Vlado Rubcic invested DM5
million in refinancing the Elektroda company.
He told Hina today he had done that following an appeal the Croatian
President and Premier had made to Croatian emigrants to return to
their home country and invest money in manufacturing and new jobs.
