ZAGREB, June 10 (Hina) - The Croatian National Parliament Speaker
Vlatko Pavletic on Wednesday held talks with the Slovene ombudsman
Ivan Bizjak.
Bizjak also held talks with his Croatian counterpart Ante Klaric.
This is the first bilateral meeting between the Croatian and
Slovene ombudsmen.
During their talks, Bizjak and Klaric agreed that ombudsmen in
Croatia and Slovenia encountered problems similar to those in
developed countries as well as some specific problems, such as the
problem of citizenship.
They stressed the importance of exchanging information and
experience.
During the meeting with the Slovenian official, Parliament Speaker
Pavletic spoke about differences between the two countries, caused
by the war in Croatia.
Today's talks were also attended by the president of the Parliament
Committee for Human and Minority Rights, Miroslav Kis and
Slovenia's Ambassador Bostjan Kovacic.
The Croatian and Slovene ombudsmen also held talks with the
President of the Croatian Constitutional Court, Jadranko Crnic.
