ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - Croatia "meets all conditions for full a
membership at the Partnership for Peace", the Croatian President's
advisor for interior affairs Ivic Pasalic said Tuesday.
Croatia's non-admission into that organisation is used as a means
of political pressure, he assessed, speaking at the "Armed Forces
and Society" symposium in Zagreb.
The refusal to admit Croatia into the Partnership for Peace is wrong
because with its stability Croatia can only contribute to resolving
the crisis in the region, Pasalic asserted.
Croatia is in many ways ahead of some Partnership for Peace member-
countries and its admission could only be of use, Pasalic told the
two-day symposium.
The representatives of the symposium's organisers assessed the
symposium as "exceptionally successful" and hoped it would help
Croatia access Euro-Atlantic integration.
The symposium was organised by the Croatian Ministry of Defence,
the Croatian National Oath Foundation, the Croatian Officer Corps,
the Hanns Seidel Foundation from Germany, and the Gaminger
Initiative international officer association.
